In my opinion, even if you don’t carbonate in your fermzilla, you should definitely be using the dip tube to do a pressure transfer rather than siphon. For one, you get less sediment and a clearer transfer but it’s a must for the 55L fermzilla- a siphon really does not cut it with the 55L version. (Too tall to easily get most siphoners down into the bottom!). I’ve been happy with both the 27L and 55L. (I purchased 5 of the 27L and 2 55L for my beer brewing class I teach at the college where I am a chemistry professor and they are great for novices. This diptube makes its easy to get the most out of this set up. I recommend feeding it to the interior of the chilling coil if you have that installed, because if it rests outside the chilling coil, the last 1/2 gallon is hard to get.
