Product Overview

This is a set of 2 7.9 gallon plastic fermenter complete with lid, airlock, and spigot. These buckets are made from Polypropylene and are ideal for all types of fermentations, especially beers with high krausen.

Why Polypropylene?

These buckets are made from polypropylene as it is less porous and significantly smoother than other HDPE fermenters. HDPE is porous and can harbor microbial activity making it more difficult to clean and sanitize. Being less porous, polypropylene also does not absorb aroma like HDPE so there is less flavor carry over from batch to batch.

I've always been a glass carboy guy. But they are a pain to clean. I bought a couple of these a few months back - and now I just bought two more. I'm going to have my son 3D print some stops so I don't have to have the spigot. But the buckets are great - solid seal and great volume
